• Ranked joint first in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, with three quarters of our research rated as world-leading/internationally excellent
• Receiving a grade of ‘excellent’ for our teaching programmes in the most recent teaching quality assessment exercise
• Achieving a position of joint fourth in the UK for overall student satisfaction on several of our undergraduate degree programmes in the 2009 National Student Survey
